Almost Nuts

I'm sorry I've been such a bad blogger. I've had so much to blog and haven't found the time to get it into print.

Right now I'm hoping and praying this is our month. The day after we came back from Florida we did intra-uterine insemination...basically the turkey baster thing. The doctor said I could oome in for a blood test on Thursday, but I told them I would come in after I had a positive. This Saturday will be two weeks. I'm trying really hard not to get my hopes too high. We've had so many months of let downs and I'm just not ready for another. Please send up a prayer for us as we get ready to test!! I so-o-o-o-o want to see two lines!!

And the Sky Opened Up

I would have thought it a dream had I not gone outside this morning. Last night, as I lay in bed, Ken drew my attention to the sound of graceful droplets of water hitting the roof. At first I did not hear them. Then a calm came over me and it was joy to my ears. During the night I awoke several times to the comforting sound of heavy raindrops hitting the roof. Upon rising I found we had received between 7 and 10 inches of rain. Streets were closed, overcome with water that had no escape. Slowly the water found a way and the roads drained, leaving reminders of debris and a few victimized vehicles.

I look towards the dark, ominous sky and realize it has been so long since we have seen the fruits of a nourishing rain. Could we be so fortunate as to see the birth of spring again?
